Stephanie Bsaomaii is a researcher and Master's candidate in Sustainable Development with a background in architecture and humanitarian work. She completed a Bachelor's in Architecture, including urban planning coursework, and went on to spend five years working in the humanitarian aid sector before returning to academia to pursue her current Master's degree. She works as a research assistant in a faculty of Geography, supporting research on climate-health technologies by mapping out projects, maintaining an up-to-date database, reviewing policy documents and reporting as needed. Her Master's thesis examines air quality and citizen science in the smart city of Barcelona, bringing together her interests in environmental quality, technology and public participation. Her professional interests include sustainable urbanism, smart cities, citizen participation, urban governance and international consulting, reflecting a cross-disciplinary approach that connects the built environment, sustainability and people-centred urban innovation.
