About
I am an urban designer based in Nairobi, specializing in climate-adaptive public spaces, participatory design, and community engagement. Currently working as Public Space Design and Waste Management Associate at the Public Space Network Kenya, I co-create equitable urban environments through collaborative processes that reflect local needs and aspirations.
My professional journey includes developing the Safari Green Building Rating tool, advocating for community interests in built-environment decisions , transforming neglected public space to thriving community places and conducting GIS-based site analysis. These experiences have shaped my commitment to bridging grassroots action with systemic urban change.
I hold a Bachelor of the Built Environment in Urban Design and Development and a Postgraduate Certificate in Environmental Impact Assessment. I am particularly interested in urban governance, cultural placemaking, and gender-inclusive approaches to city-building.
Through this mentoring program, I seek to strengthen my strategic policy skills, gain international perspective, and clarify my pathway toward influencing urban systems at a broader scale. I look forward to connecting with mentors and peers committed to shaping more just and sustainable cities.
