About
I am a civil engineer and an elected policy and decision maker in Greece, working at the point where technical expertise meets public governance.
My work focuses on urban regeneration and urban resilience within municipal structures. Current projects place a strong emphasis on sustainable mobility and pedestrian facilitation, aimed at enhancing walkability, accessibility and the overall quality of public space.
A significant part of my practice consists of embedding climate adaptation, decarbonisation and nature-based solutions into planning and infrastructure investment decisions, aligning local action with European priorities such as the European Green Deal and the EU Mission on Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities. This includes securing European funding for municipal projects and establishing monitoring frameworks that connect engineering performance indicators with public accountability and citizen engagement.
My areas of specialisation include energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, circular economy principles and blue-green infrastructure at district scale, together with climate adaptation and resilient construction standards. I work regularly with international best practice in urban regeneration, with particular attention to approaches that can be transferred and implemented within the institutional and administrative frameworks of local government.
